• Welcome to Little Owlets - A place of exploration, fun and imagination.

At Little Owlets it is our goal and focus to provide a nurturing environment, which fosters exploration, fun and imagination. Our mission is to educate today's children to empower the future generation of leaders. Our daily activities are structured to address each child's physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.
  • What Makes Us Special?

    • Education

Our unique multi-lingual approach to education involves our highly qualified teachers following the latest methodologies and curriculum guidelines on a daily basis to keep our program rich, stimulating and interesting for the young minds.

    • Languages

Our children are considered to be native speakers of English and Russian. Each of these languages are considered core languages of our program and Portuguese is offered as an option.

    • After-school

During the school year, our after-school program is filled with a variety of activities, including foreign languages, chess, cooking, science, dancing, piano, yoga, fitness and homework help. The children experience different activities each week.

    • Nutrition

We are proud participants of the Child and Adult Care Food Program, which is sponsored by USDA and administered by the Montgomery County Public Schools. Our meals are home prepared, nutritious and balanced. The children learn from an early age how important healthy eating habits are for their lives. The children help with meal serving and picking fruits and vegetables from our garden during warmer months.

    • Health

Every day the children in our program exercise. Our daily program includes either gymnastics, yoga, soccer and/or dancing. The children are given opportunities to use their gross motor skills, such as climbing, running, kicking, catching and throwing. Exercise along with nutritious eating habits set the children up for successful healthy living as they grow and become independent.

    • Safety

In our program, every staff member is CPR and First Aid Certified, background checked and medically evaluated. We are certified to administer medication with the doctor’s approval. Our facilities have undergone inspections and have been approved by the Fire Marshall, Montgomery County Zoning Department and by the Office of Child Care of Maryland Public Schools system.

  • "The Principle of Education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done." - Jean Piaget
  • A Strong Focus on Social and Emotional Needs

A significant portion of our program focuses on helping the children to build strong and positive self-esteem. Our children have plenty of opportunities to socialize with their peers in small group settings and within mixed age groups on a weekly basis. Such interactions help solidify their newly learned skills and experiment with new ones. In addition, each child receives individual attention.
